Dr. Tonkin is a performance-driven, high-energy, and customer-focused executive with 20+ years of leadership experience spanning organizational and leadership development coupled with hands-on technical success. He excels at devising and implementing strategic learning and development programs for customers to maximize their Return on Enablement Investment all while maintaining awareness of current developments in the field of training and enablement that provide value back to our customers.
Dr. Tonkin holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University as well as a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, with honors, with a focus on Leadership and Management from Regis University. Dr. Tonkin holds multiple business certifications, and is a leadership expert. Dr. Tonkin is also an award-winning researcher, an author and a prolific speaker at leadership and business conferences.

Abstract: In this session, Dr. Tom Tonkin addresses several emerging mobility trends through examining how companies are addressing these new, often conflicting aspirations. Discussing specific actions, he will walk the audience through how to:
- Assess your own self-direction characteristics
- Identify different levels of self-directed learning
- Review different interventions on increasing one's self-direction.
